THE TWISTS OF HISTORY

Lifted from Jose Alejandrino

After Ferdinand Marcos Sr. went into exile, the liberals demonized him to remain in power. They exaggerated the narrative about Marcos stealing tens of billions from the national coffer. They painted a dark picture of martial law. They glorified Edsa as a triumph ignorant of the fact it was a successful CIA operation that was scripted from the beginning to the end.

The narrative would have been perpetuated forever had Cory and Noynoy been great presidents with lasting achievements they left behind. This was not to be.

Cory’s presidency was marred by military coups because of her government’s coddling of Joma Sison that saw the communist insurgency grow to an epic proportion reaching 30,000 armed NPAs according to a CIA report. She had little to show by way of social and economic reforms. The Mendiola massacre of Hacienda Luisita farmers, the increase in corruption by influence peddlers close to Cory in obtaining big government loans, Cory’s presidency ended in daily brownouts due to her stupidity in scrapping the Bataan nuclear plant.

It was no better when her son Noynoy became president. The Senate impeachment of CJ Renato Corona whose only sin was he wanted to dismantle Hacienda Luisita and return it to its tenant farmers, PDAF and DAP funds distributed with largesse to obliging senators by a thankful Palace, the spread of illegal drugs throughout the country, the loss of Scarborough Shoal to China by an incompetent DFA secretary, the Mamasapano debacle where 44 brave SAF were left to die - these were what Noynoy left as his legacy. If Rodrigo Duterte defeated Mar Roxas, Noynoy’s candidate, by a wide margin of 6.6 million votes, it was because Noynoy turned out to be the best campaign manager of Duterte whose main platform was Pagbabago or change. The Filipinos were tired of being short-changed by the liberals and their propaganda. If the liberals claimed that Ferdinand Marcos was bad, they discovered the Aquino-Cojuangcos were no better. So the glory of Edsa faded into the distance as Filipinos realized they had been taken for a ride by yellow propagandists.

By a fluke, it was Rodrigo Duterte who contributed to a change in the Pinoy mindset about the Marcoses. It began when he allowed the former president to be buried in the Libingan ng Bayani. Then as Digong began to chalk up achievements - the war on illegal drugs, the 50% drop in the crime rate, the recapture of Marawi from terrorists, social benefits to the poor in education and healthcare, Build, Build, Build, restoration of Boracay and Manila Bay, to name a few - Pinoys began to appreciate Digong’s firm, honest, no-nonsense style of government. He was a dictator in all but name. It reminded them of Ferdinand Marcos Sr. style, and they didn’t admonish Digong for it. In fact, every time he cursed the oligarchs and the Catholic Church, his popularity rating shot up and stayed up for the rest of his term. Digong was an act few world leaders could match. Despite his rough-and-tumble ways, Digong earned the respect of world leaders. As for his enemies at home, Digong inspired fear. Don’t tackle with him, the word went around. Those few like Dick Gordon who dared, his own Senate colleagues refused to sign his Blue Ribbon report on Pharmally. Leni Robredo, never known to have a brilliant mind, dared go up against a popular Digong and she lost the May 2022 presidential election to Ferdinand Marcos Jr. by a margin of 16.6 million votes.

If BBM and Inday Sara won by a landslide, it is thanks to Digong who showed the way by his example and the millions of Dutertistas who love Digong. The Pinoy voters realized they wanted more of the same, not from brainless and wimpish liberals, but from smart, tough, patriotic leaders who can continue what our forefathers began in the 1896 Philippine Revolution, was continued by Ferdinand Marcos Sr. (who, incidentally, is related to Gen. Antonio Luna), was interrupted by the CIA at Edsa, restarted by Rodrigo Duterte, and, hopefully, will be finished by Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and Sara Duterte, to whom 30 million Filipinos have passed the torch.

Digong, a humble probinsyano from Davao, must be having the last laugh on all his critics. He is returning to his love of motor-bikes.

CTTO Sir Joe..

Next with VP-elect Inday Sara to be at the helm of the education dep't, time to straighten up the historical narrative of the past decades and let the people think for themselves not spoonfeed them with colored partialities as with the two Aquino admins.

THE REAL STORY BEHIND THE STORY
by Jose Alejandrino
September 22, 2021

The two extracts below were culled from the articles of Bobi Tiglao taken from the revelations of Joseph Scalice at the University of California, Berkeley.

I can validate and correct some of Scalice’s assertions based on what the CIA chief and Ninoy’s brother (Butz Aquino) had told me.

1. The CIA considered Ninoy a communist as I wrote in my memoirs published in the US. However, Butz, who was the president of the Socialist Party of the Philippines, denied this. He said that Ninoy was a socialist but admitted his brother had close ties to the CPP/NPA.

2. Ninoy’s movements and telephone calls were being monitored in Boston by the FBI which submitted a report to Massachusetts Governor Michael Dukakis that Ninoy was organizing “communist cells.” Dukakis passed the report to Harvard U which terminated Ninoy’s fellowship.

3. Ninoy was in favor of martial law. The CIA told me that had Ninoy been president, he would have done the same thing as Marcos, that is, impose a military dictatorship.

4. The CIA confirmed Ninoy’s meetings with US Embassy political officers. He was looking for US support. Ninoy told them of his meeting with Joma Sison who had offered him to head a revolutionary government in alliance with the CPP/NPA.

5. It was a member of the CPP who advised Ninoy not to attend the Liberal Party rally at Plaza Miranda. Joma’s plan was to bomb and kill off the Liberal Party’s leaders which would be blamed on Marcos so the populace would revolt. After Marcos was toppled, Ninoy would become president and would have no opposition from a decapitated LP. Joma did not foresee Marcos would impose martial law.
