80 year old former President whose adult children are all made for life if they wanted— one is a Vice President, one is a Congressman, one is a Mayor.
If he truly stole from our coffers, especially with so many financial opportunities like the rebuilding of Marawi and Covid, he could have been living the last chapter of his life in the lap of luxury. He shouldn’t be in the trenches, he shouldn’t be limping from one makeshift stage to next, he should be in some sunny beach somewhere eating his durian and drinking his Coke after a fruitful, rich, and meaningful life. And then going home to his new mansion.
He’s 80 years old and he is still fighting.
If they only played the game of politics, they would be spared all this drama. If they played nice and turned the other way—as most politicians do—as the powers stole from the poor, they wouldn’t be struggling.
If they were truly greedy Sara would be President now. No question. Life would have been easy for Rodrigo Duterte.
Look at Congress and how they defend each other—a writhing dark mass bathing in their own excrement in that cesspool of corruption. Most hated and ironically most powerful. Drunk in the power ordinary people gave them.
We fight for the Dutertes because they deserve it. No family has loved this country more. To fight alongside them is to fight for this country.
You cannot say the same for the corrupt politicians you support. Hanggang mahal pa namin ang Pilipinas we will fight alongside them.
It was easier to say it then because he was President and there was some degree of protection when you are in power, and it’s so much harder to say now because the powers that be will harass you and threaten you and throw their weight so you can lose your job and callyour family.
But we said it before and we will say it again, MATIRA MATIBAY, bitches.
