What's the use of any religion ~ if morality is just another word being bandied about, to keep up the façade of appearances to hide the greed and wrongdoings?
 
What's the use of any education ~ if intellect is used mainly as the springboard of a life of lies and deceit, just to further personal ambitions or undue entitlement for 'getting ahead' unfairly or unjustly?
 
What's the use of any politics ~ if people are only kept poor and disadvantaged or disempowered, because they are continually made dumb (and always under the thumb of the powers-that-be)?
 
What's the use of any philosophy ~ if honesty and truth are stranger to most people than the sensational spectacles, illusions or delusions as well as socioeconomic exploitation, that modern life is all about in the world today?
 
What's the use of any freedom ~ if none of it can really enable any of us to transcend our human weaknesses, that we may become the best we can ever be as the dominant species on this world?
 
Just asking . . .

15 August 2024 THANK YOU FOR THE LEARNING, LESSONS & MEMORIES By Duoi Ampilan  Since 01 August 2024, I officially ended my deployment in Ukraine. Though short (4 months), my deployment was among the toughest, most challenging and most difficult. The last 45 days were among the things I would never wish for. Ukraine was my 14th country of deployment and the 24th country I traveled to.  After all the twists, turns, trials, tensions and torments, I am feeling tired.  Being a Humanitarian Worker is said to be among the Most Dangerous Jobs because of the associated risks and uncertainties aside from the daily stress & tensions. Where there are calamities and crises from disease outbreaks to earthquakes, displacements to war and devastation, humanitarian workers are there.
