AS I SEE IT.
By Dale B. Coverage

The best thing I ever made in the past few days was keeping my silence after making the most difficult and hardest decision in my entire public life, by not signing the 4th Impeachment Complaint last February 5, 2025 and the best thing that I ever made when the three (3) impeachment complaints that were earlier filed were still pending in the office of the House Secretary General was the consultation I made in my district with my constituents and leaders.

I did not grant interviews, or hold a press conference because I was not fighting for anyone to see my worth. I just don’t want to see my country divided and our people to suffer more as I believe in the President when he said that the impeachment will not benefit a single Filipino life.

With such decision, some are anticipating that my district will be deprived of budgetary allocations in infrastructure and social services like AKAP, AICS, TUPAD, MAIP and other programs which my district received for the past two (2) years.

But I don’t believe that the House leadership is cruel enough to punish the people of our district because of my decision. But if that happens, well, it is just natural in politics, and I believe the people in my district are also prepared for it since it was their voice that I uphold when I refused to sign the 4th Impeachment Complaint as their Representative to Congress.

With a little understanding from our people, we can find ways on how the few resources that we have and that of the provincial government under Governor Angel Amante will be enough to the needs of our people.

In the meantime, I’m moving forward with that decision - happy, free and at peace with our people in Agusan del Norte.
