ICC are Criminals Against Humanity
Madam Honeylet and Kitty were not allowed to visit Tatay Digong on his 80th birthday by the ICC. This decision not only reflects the ICC's rigidity but also demonstrates a profound disregard for the deep-rooted Filipino tradition of close family ties. In Philippine culture, birthdays—especially milestone ones—are sacred occasions where family members come together to express love and gratitude.
By denying his loved ones the simple act of visiting him, the ICC is treating Digong as if he were a convicted criminal rather than someone merely accused. This blatant overreach strips him of fundamental human dignity and disregards the principle of presumption of innocence. Such an action reveals the ICC’s bias and its disregard for due process, effectively turning what should be a fair legal proceeding into a spectacle of political persecution.
Worse, this inhumane treatment—denying a man the right to be with his family on his birthday—is itself a crime against humanity. The ICC, which claims to uphold justice, is instead engaging in punitive actions that undermine the very human rights it pretends to protect. It is an institution that appears blind to the cultural and moral values of the people it seeks to judge, exposing its hypocrisy and barbaric colonial mindset.
