VICO VS. ISKO: TWO MAYORS, ONE FUTURE

Vico Sotto rules quietly. No giant posters. No circus. Just steady work. He makes government simple- transparent, clean, and people-first.

Isko Moreno rules like a storm. Loud. Visible. Fast. From clearing streets to rebuilding Manila, his style is grit and spectacle.

Two mayors. Two different styles. And honestly, I don’t mind the style at all. What matters is delivery. People don’t eat style. People don’t live on slogans. They need books in schools, medicine in hospitals, safe streets, fair wages.

Vico’s silence works. Isko’s noise works. Different ways, same goal: serve the people. That’s what politics should be.

Some say Vico is better. Others say Isko. But that misses the point. They may lead in different ways, but both did what matters- serve. Politics is not a contest of style. It is a test of results.

And that is the point. If we treat them as rare miracles, nothing changes. The old system waits, ready to swallow reform.

What is clear is that we don’t need leaders who look alike. We need leaders who work. Style is a footnote. Service is the headline.

Filipinos should see them as the standard. Every time a mayor or barangay captain makes a decision, measure it against Vico and Isko. If it falls short, demand better.

Because different styles can lead to one future: a Philippines where good leadership is no longer rare, but expected.
