NEVER UNDERESTIMATE WHAT A BADJAO CAN DO 🎓

For years, the Badjao community has faced stereotypes and discrimination. 

But four young achievers from Tawi-Tawi are proving that perseverance and education can overcome prejudice.

Among them is Abdulkadil Jani, who graduated cum laude in Elementary Education, and Celine Malabong, also cum laude, with a degree in Secondary Education major in Mathematics. 

Jurais Horen earned an Associate in Office Management and received an award for Performing Arts.

Meanwhile, Roben Abella made history as the first Badjao magna cum laude at the Mindanao State University (MSU), later completing a Master’s in English Language Teaching.

Their stories highlight resilience, sacrifice, and determination—showing that success isn’t just personal but also a triumph for their community. 

These milestones shine as proof that no challenge can dim the will to rise and achieve.
