PRAYER FOR THE PHILIPPINES

Lifted from Rob Rances
28 September 2025

Lord of Justice and Mercy,

We lift up to You this nation You have cradled through storms, colonizers, and calamities.

We confess, Father, that we have tolerated leaders who smiled with us but robbed us;
who promised to serve but learned only to take.
We confess our silence and our cynicism. Forgive us.

But Lord, You are not silent.
And we sense Your stirring now—
an awakening that cannot be contained.

Not from the halls of power, but from the lips of the ordinary.
From a bodyguard with a burdened conscience.
From a government worker weary of under-the-table deals.
From a bank teller tracing the trail of blood money.
From a secretary who can no longer keep silent.

One by one, Lord, You will raise truth-tellers.
And as they speak, courage will catch like fire.
Schools, offices, marketplaces, even the streets themselves will echo the cry for truth and justice.

This will not be about colors or parties, but about truth breaking through darkness.
Daily, peaceful protests will swell like a tide—
first small, then unstoppable.

Hearts will awaken.

Soldiers will look at the people they swore to protect…
…and choose loyalty to country over loyalty to corrupt power.

And even in government, Lord, You will pierce hearts not yet fully given to darkness.
Conscience will rise. Light will break in.
And they, too, will take their stand.

The powers that have bled this nation dry will tremble.
Their nights will be restless.
Their sleep, stolen.
Their grip, weakened.
For when truth rises and people unite in courage,
no throne built on lies can stand.

Lord, free our country.
Let justice roll like a river, righteousness like a never-failing stream.
Raise up a new breed of Filipinos—
not chained by fear,
not blinded by false narratives,
but burning with tapang at malasakit for their fellow citizens.

Let this awakening be peaceful, but powerful.
Let this movement be bold, but rooted in righteousness.
Let this nation rise again—not enslaved by the corrupt,
but freed by the courage of her people.

We declare:
The Philippines will not die in darkness.
Truth will not stay buried.
And Your will, Lord, will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

In Christ Jesus we pray. Amen.
