Leadership is not about having intelligence alone. Nor is it about having wealth and influence alone. Or even less, stupid good looks and a glamorous personality. Actual experience in governance is a good thing ~ but IF AND ONLY IF such government experience is irreproachable and proven to be really beneficial to the constituents, who could readily vouch for the effectiveness and faithfulness of such public service experience.

Why? because the top leadership position is very exacting, very stressful, and extremely daunting. And because power corrupts ~ even the most well-intentioned are not exempt from such corrupting influence. Therefore, the one who deserves to lead has to have an iron will to succeed. To succeed no matter the odds. And best of all, to succeed for the people being served ~ not just for self, not for the family's honor, not for the party's reputation, and certainly not for the vested interests of other interested entities who are not accountable to the people, and whose allegiances are only to themselves and their selfish goals. Because leadership owes everything to the people, for whom a successful leadership means they all benefit and share in the progress gained.

And the people themselves reward such leadership with appropriate support and loyalty, strong popularity and most of all the willingness to do what it takes to also help everything succeed under the leadership of a responsible, trustworthy and faithful public servant. The eyes of practically all the world leaders today are on President Duterte because he proved all that, and then some. Some of them may probably be even more intelligent, or more personable and good-looking, certainly wealthier and more influential, as well as also demonstrated the required will to succeed. But why do they admire President Duterte?

Because first of all, they never thought that the incorrigible Filipino people could ever be effectively governed. And because Duterte was largely unknown before he exploded onto the national political scene, when our government and governance had already become a huge joke which other countries snickered about behind our backs (and tried to keep a straight face when they actually met with any of our stupid officials). But most telling of all, because the people were tired of all the corruption and incompetence. The people chose Duterte because he was simple and straightforward in his approach to the problems of governance ~ which was why he was very successful in leading and managing his jurisdiction and constituency of Davao City ~ previously notorious and more than a handful for any leader before him to keep in order and govern effectively. And Duterte possessed an iron will to succeed.

Today, the Filipino people have all witnessed and felt the effects of such iron will ~ and Duterte had served faithfully, without a hint of corruption or incompetence (although some would take issue with that with reference to some of the people in his team ~ which is fair and justifiable, because nobody's perfect). And most of all, because he has succeeded in making the lives of Filipinos better, more peaceful, more orderly, more . . . Filipino! Which only shows that, given the proper chances under a strong and effective leadership, Filipinos can indeed become better than their worse selves ~ which happens because of bad governance, stupid choices, and no hope for a brighter tomorrow for themselves and their families.

Filipinos today are showing the potential to shed off their notorious reputation of being incorrigible and an undisciplined lot, which started when bad governance was imposed upon them by wishy-washy leaders of the yellow kind, who only mouthed idealistic principles of stupid freedom and democracy and self-praises that had no basis at all in fact and clear proofs. And they did not serve the people, only themselves, while plundering the people's resources like crazy and with thoroughly disgusting  impunity. The Filipino people today are clearly saying: NEVER AGAIN SHALL SUCH A PLAGUE BE IMPOSED ON US! WE HAVE LEARNED, AND WE ARE EAGER TO MOVE FORWARD WITH EVEN BETTER LEADERSHIP, ONE THAT WE CAN FULLY TRUST AND BE CONFIDENT IN ~ BECAUSE OUR OWN FUTURE IS AT STAKE!

Only those who want to again take advantage of the people's blind side are posturing to make themselves appealing and/or 'remaking' themselves to be seen as "the Leader" ~ but the Filipino people are already wary of such politicians. They don't want to ever make that mistake again of putting their precious mandate on sons of bitches or political whores who are only out to rob the people blind. The supreme power of the people is focused most sharply and efficiently on the Presidency, the top leadership position. President Duterte had made it work to the Filipinos' advantage and benefit. And that is why the people only want to have more of it.

Why will the Filipino people finally succeed in getting that? Because through the strong and faithful leadership of President Duterte, the Filipino people found its own iron will to succeed ~ as a nation, as a revitalized and vibrant country . . .  BECAUSE NOW IT'S TRULY MORE FUCKIN' FUN IN THE PHILIPPINES!! 😁😜
