MARTIR: INA

Image
We our also human. Napapagod, nasasaktan at kelangan ng pagmamahal.

DEATH: A Call of Renewal

Lifted from Hedda Tady January 8, 2023 I hate flying. It is what deters me from wanting to go back for a visit to the States. But this time, the insignificance AND the value of ONE life has really hit me as I stared down at the fields, houses, buildings and the realization is a welcome one -  At first, one person seems so big, then human beings get smaller, the houses next, then the buildings, and then a whole city, a country becomes but a speck and eventually, like a memory only.  With that, I wonder, how have we decided to make some family, one celebrity seem so important, so huge that we wrap around our lives around what they do, what they wear, what they like.  At the same time that billboards and social media make one individual so grand, there is another life unfolding somewhere - a mom of three tending to her kids, she is struggling but making an effort to be viable. Who decides which of the stories has more value? Worth watching? Worth “following”?  On the other hand, each life

Today in history: Rubbing shoulders with a famous... Rado Gatchalian, Founder of DDS-Australia, DDS Global Movement, Knight of Rizal, Filipino Columnist/Writer, Song Writer, Poet, Teacher, FiloSopher atbp.  There's nothing that he can't do. On this day, last year, Rado handed me a memento, a book, VIAJERO, authored by the late F. Sionil Jose. Rado's persistent perseverance and patience in getting hold of the elusive author paid off. He managed to interview Mr. Sionil Jose in his office in Manila.

Lifted from Richillo Oliveros Photo credit to the Author December 31, 2022 FB As 2022 draws to a close, a new one will begin. I hope and pray that all the hardships and problems, all the suffering and pain, failures and mistakes, anger and bitterness, all the hate and misunderstanding be part of the past and will be left with the year that will come to pass.  However, let us not forget the lessons learned. May it remind and help us along our journey to a new and better year. I wish that our homes be filled with the spirit of resilience and hope, healing and forgiveness, kindness, love and respect towards one another. We have been blessed with another year, another chance for a new beginning, to be better versions of ourselves. Let these be foremost in our hearts and minds. Let these be the banquet on our tables to be freely and generously given to all.  This, I believe is better than the usual bounty we prepare every new year because these do not only fill the hearts and souls of those
