Lifted from Project Vinta 31 January 2024 Noong Enero 30, 1924 ipinanganak sa Tondo, Maynila si Liwayway Arceo , isang tanyag na manunulat, kwentista, editor, at scriptwriter. Anak siya sina Gregorio Arceo at Amada Ablaza. Bata pa lamang ay kinakitaan na siya ng talino. Nanguna siya sa kanyang klase sa mga antas na primarya at intermedya at naging mag-aaral na may karangalan sa Mataas na Paaralang Torres. Papasok sana siya sa Unibersidad ng Pilipinas nang na may kursong peryodismo ngunit piniling maging manunulat.  Nailathala ang isa niyang maiksing katha sa Taliba noong 1941. Dalawang taon pa lamang matapos nito, nasungkit na niya ang ikalawang parangal para sa kaniyang akdang maikling kwento na ang pamagat ay "Uhaw ang Tigang na Lupa" sa paligsahan na isinagawa ng Liwayway Publications na "25 Pinakamahusay na Maikling Kwento ng 1943".  Nagsimula siyang makilala lalo ng publko nang maging manunulat, tapagpagsalin, at announcer sa himpilang PIAM noong 1943.
