Davao del Norte Govenor Edwin Jubahib has helped facilitate the negotiation for the surrender of Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) founder, Pastor Apollo Quiboloy.

In an interview, Jubahib said he bridged communication between the board of directors of KOJC, including legal counsel Atty. Israelito Torreon, and the Intelligence Service of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (ISAFP).

He said the negotiation started on August 30, 2024, and the series of dialogues between the camp of KOJC and ISAFP took place in Davao City.

Jubahib said dialogues were conducted around seven times until trust between the two parties was established.

“Nong succeeding na tumatawag sila sa akin na matulungan namakipag-dialogue sa Philippine Army, don ako nag-umpisa nagumawa ng hakbang… nilapitan ko ang assigned battalion commander sa 60IB at sinabi ko na mayroon isang confidential dialogue na gusto ng board of directors ng KOJC. Dun nag-umpisa na nag-facilitate po tayo na mag-usap po sila,” Jubahib said.

The day before Quiboloy decided to turn himself in on Sunday, September 8, 2024, it was agreed that the board of directors will bring Quiboloy to a place where he will be fetched by ISAFP.

It was also agreed during the dialogue that other government units will only be informed that Quiboloy has surrendered when he is already secured by ISAFP.

Jubahib clarified that he has no personal connection with Quiboloy, but Torreon was his legal counsel when he was suspended for three months for administrative complaints.

“Parang naging instrument lang tayo dito at pasalamat tayo, at least nawakasan na yung heavy conflict nangyari sa Davao City and alam naman natin ang dami ng na-sacrifice for that situation. Hangad lang natin naman kung anong maitulong natin para sa kapayaan ng ating bayan,” Jubahib said.

Quiboloy is now with authorities after 16 days of police operations at the KOJC compound.

After the surrender, Quiboloy and his co-accused were flown to Manila and were taken to Camp Crame.

PACQ have surrendered at long last. Some may consider this victory, for others loss while most are lukewarm. But one thing's for sure, this administration just revealed the lengths they are willing to go through - "to uphold the rule of law".
Parang SAF44 lang uli in some sense.
The questions in mind are, does the end justify the means? And what implications will the kojc siege have on law enforcement?
The PNP deployed thousands of personnel from around the country and millions of resources, caused damage to the image and economy of Davao City, plus the hearings, human rights violations, damage to property, injuries and deaths etc, pero sa AFP ni surrender si Pastor Quiboloy. The image of the PNP have been tarnished ko matter how they control the damage with their narrative and the KOJC Siege will go down in history and in criminology & law subjects.
So who gets the 10m now?
Are there gonna be delicadezza resignation?
Another senate hearing in aid of legislation?
Now that they have AG & AQ, they can focus on impeaching the VP who had 32m votes..

Contrary to the FALSE NARRATIVES spread by the Philippine National Police especially General Nicolas Torre III and DILG Secretary Benhur Abalos, Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy was not captured. He voluntarily surrendered through the ISAFP.

Pastor Quiboloy had been awaiting favorable outcomes from the legal remedies pursued by his lawyers, which he utilized as a justification of his absence. However, due to the blatant abuse of power and the excessive enforcement of the arrest warrant, which violated the rights of innocent members of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC), the church, and the school, he decided to voluntarily surrender.

This was facilitated by efforts from Davao del Norte Governor Edwin Jubahib, Army Major General Allan Hambala, Colonel Guilbert Roy Ruiz, Lt. Col. Jovily Carmel Cabading, Lt. Col. Pete Malaluan, Lt. Col. Ricardo Garcia, and honorable police officers led by General Romeo Macapaz, Major General Leo Francisco, Colonel Cholijun Caduyac, CIDG Colonel Mike Mangahis, Major Edgardo Bahan, Retired Colonel Emil Zosa, and, notably, PNP Major General Benjamin Silo Jr.—- whose integrity and honesty convinced Pastor Quiboloy to submit to the law.

The PNP and DILG should give credit where it is due and acknowledge that their operations at the KOJC compound were a SIGNIFICANT FAILURE, resulting in a waste of taxpayers' money and a massive spending of the President's intelligence funds.

PS: I’m not siding with Pastor Quiboloy; I simply cannot accept the false narratives being spread by ill-informed government officials and blindly believed by idiots.
